The two lawmakers representing Omupo and Share/Oke-ode constituencies in Kwara State House of Assembly: Hon AGF Salaudeen and Abdulrazak Owolabi have initiated political gimmicks to reduce the influence of Senator Makanjuola Ajadi in Ifelodun local government ahead 2023 general elections.
The two lawmakers who are currently representing the local government area have continued to undermine Senator Ajadi, a key stakeholder in Kwara APC and strong ally of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
Findings revealed that Salaudeen and Owolabi are working with the Chairman Kwara State House of Assembly Commission, Hon Femi Yusuf who is also from Ifelodun local government.
A credible source told our correspondent that the lawmakers are acting on the directive of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, saying ‘The governor is not satisfied with the overbearing influence of Ajadi’.
According to the source, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has given the two lawmakers and his appointees from the local government to do everything possible to reduce Senator Ajadi political influence.
”The appointment of local government transition implementation committee (TIC) chairman in the local government was without Ajadi’s input. To Worsen the matter and in line with their agenda Senator Ajadi was not invited to the inauguration of the TIC members as a major stakeholder in Ifelodun local government
” Also, AA backed State Caretaker Committee of the party gave APC Membership registration materials to AGF Salaudeen and Owolabi in order to make them a strong force in Ifeoludun politics in particular and kwara state in general. The lawmakers have been boasting that they have been given the assignment to wreck Ajadi politically and they must deliver.”
