Boys’ Brigade: LG Aspirant, AYK Congratulates ACBC Elected Officers


GistIsland NG reports that a leading aspirant in the forthcoming local government polls in Abeokuta South, Ogbeni Akano Yaya Kayode, popularly known as AYK has congratulated the newly elected officers of the Abeokuta Central Battalion Council.

The online news platform recieved AYK’s congratulatory message in Abeokuta yesterday. While congratulating the newly elected battalion officers led by the Chairman Elect, Mr Olalekan Ayinde Olujobi (Capt), he noted that their victories shows that they have been chosen by God to lead the council.

AYK particularly tasked the new leadership to carry on with the values of Boys’ Brigade and continue to distinguish themselves as ambassadors of peace and unity.

He had also appreciated the credible, free, fair and transparent election conducted by the ACBC Electoral Committee.

The statement noted that the Boys’Brigade will be really effective in his administration if elected, stating that their values remains a significant one that preaches steadfastness.

AYK prayed that new elected officers reign in Abeokuta Central Battalion Council shall witness unprecedented success and breakthroughs.

According to wikipedia, The Boys’ Brigade (BB) is an international interdenominational Christian youth organisation, conceived by Sir William Alexander Smith to combine drill and fun activities with Christian values.
Following its inception in Glasgow in 1883 the BB quickly spread across the United Kingdom, becoming a worldwide organisation by the early 1890s. As of 2018, there were 750,000 Boys’ Brigade members in 60 countries.
