Easter: Arogundade greets Christians, preaches tolerance, sacrifice for one another

Prince Wale Arogundade, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in Mushin local government of Lagos State have sent out his message of felicitation to Lagosians on the occasion of this year Easter celebration.

Arogundade, in his Easter message made available to media platforms, said such fundamental values would go a long way in promoting and strengthening the foundation of love, peace and harmony within Nigerians, adding that the season should serve as a reminder to the selflessness, love, sacrifice and tolerance of Jesus Christ throughout His earthly sojourn, his death and his resurrection.

Stressing the essence of the season, the chieftain said Jesus exemplified the virtues of selflessness, love and tolerance during his period on earth, and thereby urged Christians to use the season as a period to reflect on their individual and collective roles towards promoting and sustaining that foundation of love, peace and harmony.

“We must therefore see this period as a time that presents us the viable opportunity to think about how we can help the people that surrounds us. This year’s commemoration of Easter comes amid the grip with which COVID-19 has held the entire world,” he said.

He said there was no better time for everyone to unite together and eschew bitterness along ethnic and religious lines, adding that no challenge is insurmountable where unity of purpose thrives. In this pandemic time, we have to be united than before. He enjoined Christians to rekindle their faith in Christ who overcame sufferings and persecution.

While wishing all Lagosians a happy Easter celebration, Prince Wale Arogundade enjoined them to continue to support Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration to deliver more developmental projects that would make life more comfortable.
