The newly inaugurated Executive Chairman of Ifo Local Government, Chief (Mrs) Kikelomo Delano has congratulated the new Olu Of Ilepaland, Oba Dr Yisa Adeniyi Adeniji, Adentan I, as the Ogun State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs presented him Certificate and Staff of Office.
Delano, who was represented by her Vice, Dapo Adebesin, congratulated the new monarch on his ascension to the throne. She charged the traditional ruler to use his new position for the development of Ilepa land and Ifo in general.
Kikelomo Delano said the installation was historic, being the first since she assumed office as the Executive Chairman of the Council barely 48 hours.
In her speech, she appreciated the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and his entire cabinet members for their support and approval of the appointment of Oba Adeniji.
In the same vein, she appealed to the people of Ilepa to cooperate and extend their unrelenting support to the monarch for the upliftment of the ancient town to a higher and enviable position.
Her statement partly reads; “As I am congratulating His Royal Highness, Oba Dr Yisa Adeniyi Adeniji, Adentan I, the Olu Of Ilepaland, I have the belief that your reign will bring all and sundry together, including the Ilepa indigenes in the diaspora to come home and invest massively towards the development of Ifo and its environs.”
In her concluding remarks, Delano appreciated the coronation committee, groups and the people that have contributed in a prudent manner for the success of the memorable event.
The Staff of Office was presented to Olu of Ilepa by Prince Adesoji Adewuyi, the Director of Chieftaincy Affairs who represented Hon Afolabi Afuape, the Ogun State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
