“The Ogun Joint Campus Committee of the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) congratulates Mr. Job Kehinde who has been appointed the Ag Rector of the prestigious DS Adegbenro Polytechnic, Itori.
“Mr Kehinde’s appointment comes at a crucial time in the history of our dear state and the whole of Nigeria as a country. The world is currently being ravaged by the COVID19 pandemic which is shaking the economic look of every affected country.
The association, while acknowledging the effect of COVID-19 on the education sector expressed confidence that Mr. Job would bring his wealth of experience to bear to build upon the enviable legacies of the polytechnic in coming years.
“Unfortunately the education sector has had it own share of the galls as many schools are currently closed leaving most heads of school to use the digital classes to substitute the regular classroom teachings. Despite the efforts, we can expect schools to struggle when the pandemic is over but the ability to swiftly reshape things will tell so much about educational administrators, one of the shoes which the state government intends to be filled with the appointment of Mr. Kehinde,” they said.
Tomiwa and Abayomi said that the students’ body was open to consultations and willing to offer maximum cooperation in areas where its inputs might be needed to drive progress in the polytechnic.
