PDP: Ogun Executive Visits National Working Committee


In line with its resolve to reposition and return the party to its winning ways, the members of the Ogun State Working Committee (SWC) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) were led by the State Chairman, Alh. Sikirulahi Ogundele to the National Headquarters of our great party on a Familiarisation visit on Thursday August 6, 2020.

The august visitors were warmly received by the entire members of NWC led by the indefatigable National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus.

While giving his remarks on behalf of the visitors and entire members of the PDP family in Ogun state, the State Chairman, Alh. Sikirulahi Ogundele expressed profound gratitude to the national office for finding a lasting solution to all crises which has hitherto held the party down in Ogun State.

The new SWC through Ogundele however promised to work with the national office in one accord in order to return the party to its winning ways. Alh. Ogundele also promised to run an all inclusive party administration that will protect all interests.

A member of the Ogun PDP Elders’ Council who was part of the team, Omo’ba (Dr) Doyin Okupe also spoke at the event, praised the immediate past party executive under the chairmanship of Engr. Bayo Dayo. He thanked Engr Bayo for his fatherly roles in strengthening the party in Ogun State.

In his response, the National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus eulogised the political significance of Ogun state to the PDP and also congratulated the new members of SWC on their elections. He appreciated all party leaders in attendance for their unwavering support and loyalty to the party.

He however enjoined the new members of the SWC to immediately fast track a process of sincere reconciliation with the view to bringing all other aggrieved members under the banner of the party. He insisted that the umbrella is big enough to accommodate everybody.
