A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Mushin Local Government, Prince Wale Arogundade, on Saturday congratulated Muslim faithful on the celebration of the Eid-el-Fitri which followed the successful observance of the month-long Ramadan fast.

Arogundade has urged Muslims in Mushin, Lagos State and Nigeria at large to embrace the virtues of forgiveness and common understanding as they join counterparts across the world to celebrate the end of the Ramadan fasting season.

In a statement by the political icon on Saturday, 23 May 2020, noted that one of the basic components of Ramadan fasting is to seek the mercy of God to forgive us our sins, and thus it becomes imperative for us as humans to extend the grace of forgiveness and common understanding to other human beings as well.

According to the statement, “Being good muslims requires that we follow the examples and teachings of Prophet Muhammed who was always quick to forgive those that transgressed against him and lived a life of building common understanding among people.”

The statement added that at a time such as now when Nigeria and the rest of the world is faced with a pandemic, it is important that all hands are on deck and old gaps are closed in order to do everything within our capacity to curb the spread of the virus.

Arogundade urged all citizens to use this celebration to reach out and share with one another especially the less privilege, sick, orphans, widows and the aged at this critical time.

The philanthropist and safety mogul while congratulating every muslim for the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting season noted that it was a season of abundant grace from Almighty Allah for the forgiveness of our sins.
