2005 Ballon d’Or winner, Ronaldinho has tested positive for coronavirus.
The former Barcelona and AC Milan star has endured a turbulent year spending over five months in detention in Paraguay over a fake passport scandal.
He announced on Sunday that he has contracted the novel coronavirus but had no symptoms.
“Hi friends, family, fans, I took a Covid-19 test and the result was positive, I’m doing well, I’m asymptomatic for now,” he said in a video posted on Instagram.
Ronaldinho returned to Brazil in August after spending five months in detention in Paraguay.
He and his brother spent a month in jail and four months under house arrest in a hotel in Asunción.
Ronaldinho won numerous individual awards and trophies during a glittering career including the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
